Extracurricular activities help individuals explore their capabilities, as well as challenge them to grow. Extracurricular activities offered by I CAN! of Arkansas include dance, art, and cooking. Families may participate in any or all of the activities offered. These classes conclude with a devotional thought and time of prayer.
In addition to extracurricular activities, I CAN! of Arkansas offers some supporting programs such as Family Fun Night, and our social group; Peers Without Pressure. All activities and programs are offered at no cost to the families.
I CAN! Dance
I CAN! Dance is offered in multiple locations (Central Arkansas, Garland County, Benton, Jonesboro, Conway, East End, Arkadelphia) and gives these children an opportunity to perform on stage with bright lights and fancy costumes. It also shows the audience that these children CAN dance and have the same interests and dreams as other children.
I CAN! Art
I CAN! Art classes are held at I CAN! Arts & Resource Center and allow children to explore their creativity and encourages self-expression through a variety of art mediums. Participants create art pieces individually and as a group. Some items may be taken home, while other items may be displayed at the center, or during an art show or sale allowing a broader audience to experience their artwork.
